2019 school budget allocations

Like all NSW public schools, this week we will receive a School Budget Allocation Report with our funding for 2019. The report will help us manage our total budget delivered through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM).

The RAM supports schools through needs-based funding to ensure a fair, efficient and transparent allocation of funds. Our school has the flexibility to make local decisions based on the specific needs of our students.

We will use our 2019 funding to support students and improve educational outcomes. The school executive will continue to work with the school community as we implement the school plan using this needs-based funding.

Corrimal East Public School's generous donation of Easter Eggs

The students from Corrimal East Public School came to visit our school to give Easter eggs to the children in the Children's Ward. The students donated Easter eggs to take part in their school's mufti day.

Virtual Excursions

Even though our students are in hospital they have been going on excursions!! Virtual Excursions. We have recently visited the Great Barrier Reef, the Alaskan Sealife Centre and Questacon for a Minibeast excursion and Under the Sea. These have been a great way for our students and staff to experience many new experiences. The highlights have been talking to the SCUBA diver whilst he was actually diving on the reef and seeing the orphan walrus and otter in Alaska.

We also did a few great experiments about water pressure. Here's Max experimenting with a cup, plate and water to see what happens when he turns his cup upside down.

Healthy Harold visits the school

Healthy Harold visited our schoolroom and the Children's Ward. All the children loved seeing him and many were excited to meet him in person as they had seen him at their school in the Happy Harold van. Harold gave all the children an activity booklet and either a handball or a little Harold to take home. Here's a link to his website for more games and fun.
