Student opportunities and activities

We offer a range of co-curricular opportunities and activities that enrich each student’s learning experience. Some may look similar to what students enjoy at their home school, while others are uniquely designed for our hospital school setting. These activities provide connection, creativity and moments of joy during a student’s time with us.

PAWS Pet Therapy

Each week, Quinnie and Saxon from PAWS Pet Therapy visit the ward, bringing warmth, joy and plenty of wagging tails. Their gentle nature helps create a calm and uplifting atmosphere, offering students moments of comfort, connection and relaxation.

Creative Arts

Students have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of creative arts activities, from drawing and painting to craft and design projects. Learning is supported through structured creative arts sessions that encourage self-expression, build confidence, and offer a positive outlet for imagination and creativity during their time with us.

STEM

STEM learning gives students the chance to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on, curiosity-driven activities. These sessions encourage problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking, while allowing students to engage in meaningful learning that connects to real-world ideas.
