Caring, Healing, Learning
The school offers a Day Student Program for those students, who on the advice of their specialist doctor, are unable to return to their home school. The length of stay at the school varies and is dependent on the doctor's recommendations.
For students who are hospitalised for extended periods, a planned and supported Transition Program is put in place.
While the school is situated in the Children's Ward, it also caters for older students who may be admitted into other wards.
The school operates as part of a multidisciplinary team which may include parents and family members, medical staff, therapy teams and social workers.
We have a focus on integrating technology across the curriculum. We have a bank of iPads that are used extensively by the students. Student work samples are emailed back to their home school and also added to the Student Showcase section of our website.
